Summary
Love doing silhouettes and when Pinterest sent me some pictures of Sarah Trumbauer's Intricate Papercut Illustrations I had to try them out on wood with my laser cutter. Sarah's illustrations are wonderful on paper, but too fragile for wood so I had to modify them to create supporting joins and thicken many of the lines. Even then you have to be careful when weeding the cut pieces, but I think the result is excellent. I hope you enjoy giving this a go.

Material used

I've used 3mm Black MDF (Melamine) because it's perfect for doing silhouettes. No painting and easy to wipe down. You can of course use plain MDF or similar timbers or even acrylic.
