Summary
I made this for my son on the extended bed. it did take a lot of wood the shield was only two layers but the sword was technically 4 to make it sturdy. The blue are the engraves and the red are the cuts. the handle is a series of glued half rings. On the back of the shield I used an old duffle bag strap, cut 2 - 8" pieces. one to slide in for the forearm and the other for a handle. I did end up painting gold and black, it defiantly has taken a beating after a year, but its still holding together.
