Summary
I engraved a long, blank wooden board from Dollar Tree with F1, by moving and turning the board as needed. I engraved it word by word. The key to correct direction of the words was that I didn’t move the position after the first word. I just deleted the text and entered the new word, but the angle stayed the same for each word. I just eyeballed the distance between words then. Everything was done in XCS and the only file not in there is the pumpkin which I took from another design I have. But, you can use whatever you have. I also added various plants from the XCS library around the board. Some were engraved and some scored. The basswood preset for scoring was good enough, but the preset for engraving was too pale for me, so I slightly adjusted the setting. It’s in the picture and that’s the one I always use now. It probably all took about 15-20 minutes due to careful positioning, otherwise it’d be even shorter.
