Summary

A model design bought from Etsy, but came with a handful of issues which I rectified and made work. This was one of my first projects and also one of the ways I learned how to use ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR to make my own models.

I just love WALL-E. Some of the picture parts were different from actual cut parts but I got it figured out. I did change the shape of one part in the neck to match the instruction photo. His head is so heavy that it needed the additional support. I am very pleased with the results. Thank you for posting this file.

Hello there! i don't have an image but the step is the same as connecting the individual pieces, except you place the track over the wheels and fit the pieces in position. Hope this helps! Thanks

i found this model on a lot of different sites but i seem to be missing several parts on the arm.they are not on the cut sheets. did no one have this problem?

new to this laser stuff so bear with me when i down load to xtool d1 it opens as one page is this correct or should there be 5 separate sheets. if so how do i do it? thanks

hi sorry for the late reply. they are all separate sheets. i hadnt myself figured out about the canvas option when i originally made this, so each sections is one A3 sheet.

When I upload into my workspace I am seeing parts have gaps in them and some parts are incomplete.. like this ish ( ) when I think it should be this O. ( I hope that made sense ...) Was this the issue you had to fix in AI? just before I try and fix it I just want to be sire I am not missing something.. lol Thank you !

yes the gaps in the model prevent the parts from slipping out of the sheet wood to prevent loss of the smaller pieces. This also allows you to just grab the sheet and replace quickly for the next part of the design.

I accidentally used 3.6mm, and it didn't slot in, but I just snipped the slots off and glued it.

yes it certainly can you might need to adjust the pieces around. because the D1 has a larger workspace.

not when the model I bought didn't work and spent 3 weeks fixing it and creating the instructions.
