Summary

I made this wooden perch from a left over piece of pine I had from another project but you could use any kind of wood or even just engrave on a wood perch bought from a pet shop. 

I cut the wood to the right size and added slots in each end to fit tightly between the bars of the cage using a table saw, then rounded the top edge on the router table to remove the sharp edges.

Then to add personalisation I combined the bird images with text in xtool creative space and engraved using the 5w D1 Pro.

The engraving adds a really nice touch to the cage, and Sam loves it.
