Summary

This tool was designed to help find the exact center and opposite side of a tumbler, ensuring perfect alignment for logos, decals, or other design elements. This easy-to-assemble tool makes consistent alignment simple and efficient for various tumbler sizes.

Required Materials
3mm basswood for laser cutting (xTool 3mm basswood setting recommended for best results)
(4) pieces included in the design: bottom elbow, top elbow, and two connecting pieces
(2) 3mm bamboo dowels or similar (not included in design file)  Note: If using dowels larger than 3mm, adjust the design file to match your dowel diameter.
Optional Item:  A binder clip, which allows you to secure the tool’s width in place for consistent, repeat use.

The cut and score settings may vary depending on the machine.

Assembly Instructions
Insert Dowels:
Insert the two 3mm bamboo dowels through the designated slots on the top and bottom elbow pieces, aligning them with the connecting pieces as per the assembly image.

Important: Apply glue only where the connecting pieces attach to the dowels. This allows the top and bottom elbow pieces to slide freely along the dowels for easy adjustment.
Avoid gluing the elbow pieces to the dowels, as this will restrict movement and prevent proper alignment.

Secure with Binder Clip (Optional).  Use a binder clip if desired to maintain the tool at a specific width for multiple uses.


Using the Tool
Open the elbows wide enough to fit over your tumbler.
Slide the elbows inward toward each other until they make contact with both the front and back surfaces of the tumbler.
Note where the tool aligns with the center of the tumbler's logo.
Using the alignment points on the tool,  mark the exact center on the opposite side.

Measure Diameter (Optional):
Slide the arms of the tool until they reach the tumbler’s sides, then measure the distance to get an accurate diameter reading.
