I've been a stamp maker for about 10 years, initially hand carving them or in photopolymer until I finally found Xtool M1 laser machine, which was a game changer for me. Now I want to share with you, how I make my stamps, they need some preparation before engraving, but the results are always 100% perfect. This means, my stamps have the most important part, which is a "shoulder". This is a feature that provides stability to the base of a stamp's image, letters and characters, resulting in a cleaner, more detailed impression on paper. I always start working the stamp in vector, and then finish the shoulders (see image with glow) in Photoshop to then save the file as a PNG. In this XCS file, you will see the image inverted with a black background, with only a few milimeters off the image itself, this is to allow you to cut around with sissors, in this way, it does not take so long to engrave a large amount of area, but only what is necessary. The SVG file is to engrave on the base you choose to mount the stamp, optional. The material used is laser rubber for stamps, you can get this material online in amazon or xtool selected. You will need eva foam (3mm is ok) cut out in the same shape and a hard base such as MDF or wood to mount it. I use double side tape for this. I hope you enjoy this stamp for this upcoming Christmas! The design was adapted from a Freepik free use image.
