Summary
Using the oldest map images of my town area, developed and hand-drawn in 1884 by Japanese army--utilizing the most advanced mapping techniques of the time--was digitized in vector data, and then laser engraved-cut to produce 3D contour map to "map" the middle age castle remains of the area. (suppose that is the closest to the topographic conditions of the old time. I also made the map using the latest map of today to compare the geographic features. The second half of the area (this is the south area) in the north has been also produced.
